Q: When does my new puppy/kitten need to come in for their first visit?
A: Most puppies and kittens start their first vaccine series at 6-8 week of age. After that, their vaccines are boostered every 3-4 weeks until they are 16 weeks of age.

Q: When do I drop off my pet for a pre-scheduled surgery?
A: Drop off times are between 7am and 8am and are spaced 15 minutes apart. Our surgical block begins at 9am. This time allows our staff to prepare the pet for surgery.
Q: When will I be able to pick my pet up from surgery?
A: Most of our surgical patients are able to go home 1-2 hours after surgery. Some go home as early at 12pm or as late as 6pm. The specific pick up time will be determined by our attending doctor based on your pets recovery from anesthesia. If you are ever unable to pick up until later, your pet may stay with us until 6pm at no additional cost.
Q: What vaccines do you recommend?
A: Our core vaccines for dogs are Rabies, DHPP, Lepto, and Bordetella. Lifestyle vaccines we recommend are Influenza and Lyme. These vaccines are recommended based on your pets daily activities and their greater risk to exposure. For cats, we recommend Rabies and RCP for indoor only cats. Outdoor cats should get Rabies, RCP, and FeLV vaccines.
Q: What yearly testing do you recommend?
A: Fecal tests are done yearly on all patients to limit the public and their pets' exposure to intestinal parasites. Through early detecting we can limit this risk. So even if your pet is not symptomatic, they should be tested. Heartworm testing is also done yearly to aid in early detecting of heartworm and 3 common tick borne illnesses. Annual blood work should also be done on any pets that are over the age of 5 to detect disease early. This improves treatment efficacy.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept all major credit cards(Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover), Apple Pay, Cash, Checks with valid government ID, and Care Credit.
Q: What pet insurances do you take?
A: We accept all pet insurances as most still work by reimbursing the client after they pay and submit their invoice. We do partner with Trupanion and utilize their direct-to-vet pay platform. We also participate in two discount programs: Pet Assure and United Pet Care.
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: We do not offer any in house payment plans. All payment is due at the time of service. Care Credit is a great option for those seeking extending payment options.
Q: Do you take walk-ins?
A: If there is room on our schedule, we may be able to take walk-ins. However, we respect the time of our clients that have scheduled appointments and they will be given priority unless your pet is experiencing a medical emergency.
Calling ahead to make an appointment is always suggested. We have many solutions to help accommodate your busy schedule like Day Admissions and Same-Day appointment slots.
Q: What is a Day Admission appointment?
A: If our schedule is booked, we can offer Day Admissions for sick pet visits. There is no additional cost for this. You will drop off your pet at a scheduled time for a nurse to get a history and discuss your pets symptoms. This may take 15-20 minutes. From there they will be brought to our treatment area where they will stay in a kennel with water and a blanket. They will be taken outside or provided a litter pan too. Your pet will be examined and treated by the attending veterinarian between appointments. If at any point the veterinarian or the nursing staff have any questions or updates for you, they will call you. Typically these patients are here for 2-4 hours and you will be contacted as soon as their treatments are completed. These appointments allow us to see urgently sick pets even if we do not have an exam room available.
Q: Do you see emergency cases?
A: We see emergencies on a case by case basis. All emergencies should call to ensure we have a veterinarian available. Sometimes we have an emergency already in the hospital or do not have the equipment needed for certain emergencies. In these cases we will refer you to one of our local ER hospitals.
